Quality Control

Our quality control starts from the choice of seeds and plantlets we cultivate, risk assessing our suppliers of raw materials, continuously analyzing our productions as they proceed along a season, all the way through to the samples we supply our clients with (CoAs) and the deliveries they PO with us.

External labs are used for analyses that are not available at AF& Co. (e.g. C14, Identity Preserved (GMO), etc.) and for scientific verifications through contradictory debates.

Minimum sample archiving is 2 years.

We have also invested in enlarging our data library though ongoing trainings, through exchange programs (with independent, accredited labs in the EU, USA, and Canada). We rest assured that the success of a good quality control lies in the continuous upgrade of knowledge and experience of our team.

AF&Co. fully integrates the concept of quality assurance as a preventive measure, together with ongoing traceability system tailor-made to the new requirements and specificities of our industry and international regulatory bodies.

AF&Co. is continuously investing in its Quality Control department with the equipment needed for both our chemical (GC/FID, GC/MS/MS, titrimetry, etc.) & physical analyses (OR, RI, FP, etc.)

This is paired with similarly growing outsourced analytics and consultancy services covering our own aromatic productions, but also on plants, water, soil, air, and carbon footprint analyses and evaluations on our own farms and—increasingly—on our supplying network of farms.
